Description

Magnesium Myristate is a salt of magnesium and myristic acid. It is a fine, free-flowing powder that provides increased slip and glide, making formulations feel creamier without an increase of oils. This texturizing powder increases adhesion and spreadability to the skin, which contributes to improved wear of cosmetic products. Therefore, this ingredient is best used in color cosmetics such as eye shadow, lipstick, powder foundation, etc. Magnesium Myristate can also be used as a binder in pressed powder products and viscosity controller in various cream and liquid products.
